In Australia, 100,000 parents will be affected by perinatal depression and anxiety (PNDA) every year – that’s 1 in 5 mums and 1 in 10 dads, and it’s time we change that!

Please donate to help change a life. Every dollar raised will give vulnerable new parents more access to critical services like Gidget House face-to-face counselling and Start Talking telehealth services.

Why Couch to 5k?

Tuesday 6th May
After years of infertility struggles and pregnancy losses, we finally welcomed our miracle baby, Skye. But instead of the joy I had longed for, I was overwhelmed by anxiety and a deep, painful belief that I didn’t deserve to be a mother.

My breaking point came when I looked at my daughter and felt… nothing. That moment changed everything. With the support of my GP and a Gidget clinician, I began to heal and found her way back to myself.

Determined to give back, I took on the City to Surf in 2024, raising funds for Gidget Foundation Australia. This year, I’m stepping up again, going from couch to 5K as part of the Gidget 100,000 Challenge to encourage parents to reach out, start talking, and know they’re not alone. 🏃🏼‍♀️🌸
