My target 100 kms

I’m stepping up this March to support …

The 100,000 Australian parents impacted by perinatal depression and anxiety every year. That’s 1 in 5 mums and 1 in 10 dads — and far too many suffer in silence.

Motherhood is one of the most rewarding parts of my life, and I love being a mum - but it hasn't always been easy or without its challenges.

I quietly navigated postnatal anxiety, and it shaped my postpartum experience in ways I don't often talk about.

That’s why I'm joining the Gidget Foundation 100K Challenge to help raise funds so other parents get the support they deserve.

Your donation to Gidget Foundation Australia helps parents access vital psychological support when they need it most — online, in-person or through telehealth.

Every dollar can bring hope and support.

Thank you!

My Updates

🌼 Final Week of the 100K Challenge - One Last Push!

Thursday 26th Mar
As I enter the final week of the Gidget Foundation’s 100K Challenge, I have been reflecting on how far this journey has taken me both physically and personally. When I signed up, I wasn’t a runner. I wasn’t even sure I could be one. But I committed to learning, and each run has become a reminder of what it means to show up for myself, even when it feels uncomfortable or unfamiliar.

This challenge is deeply personal. My own experience with perinatal anxiety shaped my postpartum journey in ways I never expected. It is not something I have spoken about openly, but it is something that changed me. The Gidget Foundation supports parents who are navigating those same overwhelming and often invisible challenges. Their work ensures that no parent has to face perinatal anxiety or depression alone, and that early support can change the trajectory of a family’s wellbeing.

Every kilometre I have completed has been for the parents who need that support. Every donation has reminded me of the power of community and compassion. I am incredibly grateful for the generosity shown so far, and as I push through these final days, I am hoping to make an even bigger impact.

If you are able to contribute, your support will help the Gidget Foundation continue providing essential care to parents during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives.

Thank you for walking, running and cheering alongside me. This challenge has changed me in ways I will carry forward long after the final kilometre.

Week Update: 100K Challenge & Learning to Run

Sunday 8th Mar
This year I decided to take part in the Gidget Foundation’s 100K Challenge; a cause that means a lot to me. I experienced postnatal anxiety, and it shaped my early months of motherhood in ways I don’t often talk about. Raising funds for Gidget feels like a way to turn something difficult into something meaningful for other parents who need support.

As part of the challenge, I also set myself a personal goal: to learn to run. I’ve never been a runner, but I’m following the 5K Runner program and slowly building up my confidence and stamina. Some days feel great, some days feel like I’m dragging bricks, but every run reminds me that growth happens in small, steady steps.

Motherhood is the most rewarding part of my life, and this challenge is my way of honouring both the joy and the struggle. If my story helps even one parent feel less alone, then every kilometre is worth it.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, encouraged, or simply read along. Your support genuinely keeps me moving forward.
