Gidget 100k challenge

This March, I’m lacing up my walking shoes and taking on the 100K Challenge to support the incredible work of the Gidget Foundation Australia.

As many of you know, perinatal depression and anxiety affect 1 in 5 mothers and 1 in 10 fathers during pregnancy and early parenthood. Behind those statistics are real families — exhausted, overwhelmed, and often suffering in silence during what is “supposed” to be the happiest time of their lives.

That’s why this challenge matters.

For the entire month of March, I’ll be walking 100 kilometres to raise awareness and funds for parents impacted by perinatal depression and anxiety. Every step represents a parent who deserves support. Every kilometre is for a family who needs to know they are not alone.

The Gidget Foundation provides free psychological support, telehealth services, and vital resources to expecting and new parents across Australia. 

As someone passionate about supporting families, I see firsthand how important early intervention, understanding, and accessible mental health care truly are. Parenthood can be beautiful — but it can also be challenging, No parent should feel ashamed for struggling.

This March, I walk for the mums quietly battling anxiety.
I walk for the dads who don’t feel like themselves.
I walk for the families navigating parenthood while carrying invisible weight.
