Giggle Bee Mental Health Month

By Tori Wilcox

I'm fundraising for...

the 1 in 5 mums and 1 in 10 dads who experience perinatal depression and anxiety, that’s almost 100,000 Australian parents every year.

With demand for support growing, up to 11 parents every hour may be missing out on the specialised care they need.

Your donation today can help parents access specialised care—online, in-person or via telehealth —when they need it most.

Please give today and help ensure no parent faces perinatal mental health challenges alone.

Our Why

Saturday 22nd Aug

September is a little more personal for us at Giggle Bee.

This month, we’re proud to be supporting the Gidget Foundation, an organisation dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of expectant and new parents.

This is a cause that means a lot to me personally. During my own journey into motherhood, I experienced perinatal depression. It reached a point where seeking help was non negotiable.

As I began navigating motherhood, I also experienced postpartum anxiety. It was a different experience, but one that was just as real. Becoming a mum is often portrayed as one of the happiest times in your life, but the reality can be much more complicated. You can love your baby deeply and still struggle. You can be grateful and still need help.

My experience has made me incredibly passionate about breaking down the stigma surrounding perinatal mental health and reminding parents that they don’t have to struggle in silence.

So, throughout September, for every order placed with Giggle Bee, we will donate $1 to the Gidget Foundation and we’ll match that donation.

That means every order placed this month will help us contribute twice: once through your purchase and once through Giggle Bee.

We know that $1 might seem small, but when a community comes together, those little contributions can become something much bigger.

If you’re a Giggle Bee customer this September, thank you. Not only are you supporting our small business, but you’re helping us support a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.

And if you’re a parent who is struggling, please know this: asking for help isn’t a failure, and you don’t have to wait until things become unbearable to reach out.

You deserve support, too.

From our little business to a cause that means so much to us, thank you for helping us make a difference this September.
