Gidget & Our Family

In January of 2025, Lola Rose was stillborn at 35 weeks, due to delayed villous maturation of the placenta. The only symptoms we had were a few hours of reduced foetal movement.

The shock and enormity of the loss was earth shattering and we didn’t know where to turn to rebuild.

After unsuccessful attempts with a few general psychologists, a dear friend recommended ‘The Gidget Foundation’ for specialised antenatal care. This was the turning point for our family to finally receive the right type of support in our grief, completely free of charge.

This March we (I say we because there’s no chance of me running 100km alone - help!) are run/walk/riding to raise money for Gidget. The care we received for free was the kindest thing that could have happened to us, in the midst of the worst chapter of our lives.

We invite you to join us and contribute either a few dollars, or a few kms. We ask you to think of Lola and how lucky we are to have services like this available to families in Australia. We hope that in raising money, we can continue to spread the word and ensure that other families have access to the same incredible, FREE care that we did.

❤️ Georgia, Alex & Olly.
