Fundraise for Gidget
Friday 8th Jul Thanks for taking the time to read my blog post! Since having my son Luca, I came to hear about Gidget Foundation through the hospital where he was born. I’m forever grateful that my beautiful mum had a chat to the NUM at the hospital where I had Luca and they were able to provide me with the details for Gidget Foundation. After weeks and weeks of what I thought was the ‘baby blues’ I knew that it wasn’t my ‘normal’ but didn’t know how to fix it.Through my own work, my personal experience and experiences of other beautiful mums, I realised that there is not near enough support that meets the needs of vulnerable parents in the peri/ post natal period. After going through what I have been through, I feel so passionate and wish for no parent to feel alone with their thoughts and experience. I want to empower women to talk! And I put biggest supporters (husbands, wife’s, parents etc) to know where to go to provide support. I know first hand how it feels to be frightened and ashamed of my thoughts and feeling but since Gidget foundation came into my life I now have clarity, understand my thoughts and above all have the most amazing connection with my beautiful Luca!
